Making Art 101

Hello. It's nice of you to come over here and see what this is all about.

Question #1: Why the hell am I writing a blog in 2023?

Answer: Because I really like talking about art I like, analyzing it and stuff. I used to make video essays, but they were simply too much work and I'm lazy. Writing it is easier (and I get to avoid the hypocriticism of including background music in my videos while hating the very concept of "background music"). In addition, by publishing my thoughts as a blog, there's the (however bleak) possibility that other people might read them and a discussion could arise, which is always fun.

Question #2: Why art? What's this about?

Answer: I like discussing art because it has such a huge impact on people's lives, and because I believe it has the power to bring people closer to God. As a creator myself, I also enjoy analyzing art that makes me feel a particular way, to figure out what works (or doesn't work) and use that in my own work. Finally, art analysis is simply enjoyable.

Question #3: Why "nnnikkiguy" in the site URL?

I have no intention of spending money on this project in addition to effort, so for now the URL is just the default that Wix gave me. "NNNIKKI" was my old username on this account.

Question #4: That guy on the right, is that you?

Answer: No. It's the default image Wix gave me, and I'm too lazy at the moment to change it.
